How The Process Works
The Sekisui SPR method consists of a rigid PVC profile which is spirally wound into an existing pipeline. Successive wraps of profile are locked together and the annular space between the liner and the existing pipe is grouted. The result is a strong composite pipe integrated with the existing pipeline.
Features of the SPR Method
- The liner can be formed in an in-service pipe without stopping the sewage.
- Longitudinal slope adjustment is possible.
- Lining of long lengths and curved pipelines is also possible.
- Rehabilitation work can be performed via manholes 60cm (approx. 2ft.) in diameter.
- A rehabilitated pipe as strong as the original pipe
can be formed
-
The system can be applied to not only
round but also to any non-circular cross sections such
as square, horseshoe shaped, and elliptical.
