As described above, SEKISUl PVC-HA has a higher melt viscosity
than PVC but its decomposition temperature is nearly the same
as that of PVC. This means a narrower molding temperature
range than that of PVC. Compared with PVC, gelation of PVC-HA
is accelerated rapidly, causing more heat generation. Pay
full attention therefore to the following points when molding
SEKISUl PVC-HA.
(1) Use more stabilizer (1.3 to 2 parts) than PVC.
(2) Use more lubricant (1.5 to 3 parts more in weight) than
PVC to adjust gelation speed.
(3) Set molding temperature to 10 to 20°C
(4) Closely control temperature than PVC. Minimize retention
within the molding machine.
Blending examples of SEKISUl PVC-HA are shown below.
* Each SEKISUl PVC-HA is available in various grades. But,
when initial clearness is required, use the least coloring
grade. Grade, stabilizer and lubricant must be selected according
to usage and heat resistance. Extrusion blending examples
and molding conditions are shown below.
